Travellers Lodge Team Raises over $2600 for Alzheimer's Research
February 2012 - On Sunday January 29th the Nanaimo Travellers Lodge team sported running shoes and walked through Bowen Park with over a hundred other people in the Alzheimer Society of BC Investor's Group Walk for Memories. This year the walk was dedicated to the caregivers of people living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The team raised $2,651.69 for Alzheimer's research, just shy of the team's $3,000 goal.This year's top fundraisers were: 1. Catherine H, NTL LPN 2. Jeanne C, NTL Board Member 3. This is the fourth year that LPN Catherine H has spearheaded the team. A big thank you Catherine for taking the time to organize the walkers, coordinate the team teeshirts and send out reminder emails. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
