Bring Your School / Group To VisitThe staff and Elders at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge love to have visitors! We believe that bringing the outside world into the Lodge helps to relieve the boredom and loneliness that those with dementia can experience. We regularly have groups of all ages come to visit with the Elders, perform a concert or play, or have tea with our Day Program participants. Children from local daycare centres visit with our Elders, filling our hallways with joy and laughter. We have even hosted a marriage ceremony in the garden!
Visiting with our residential and Day Program Elders provides a comfortable and safe opportunity to ease some of the fears surrounding dementia. It also provides an outlet for Elders and visitors alike to relive memories and tell stories.
If you would like to bring a group to visit the Lodge, please contact Greg Gaudaur, Administrator at 250-760-2633 or email@example.com to discuss the details.
