Family Council
Family Council is a forum for friends and families of residents at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge to share experiences, to learn and to exchange information. It is a forum for families to help us move along our Eden journey to ensure that quality of life is the focus at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge so that we can eliminate the plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom.The Family Council allows for families to learn and to ask questions about how things are done at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge. Questions and suggestions are welcome to help improve the Lodge and the lives of the Elders who live here.
The Family Council is also a place for caregivers to find and to give support to each other and to meet other families. It is an educational source for many issues including dementia, medications used in dementia care, infection control and outbreaks, and the new building project.
